Understanding Your NDIS

The NDIS can feel overwhelming. This page explains how it works, what Freedom can provide under your plan, and how to get started — in plain language.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding to people with permanent and significant disability. The NDIS gives eligible participants an individual plan with funding to purchase the supports and services they need to live a good life.

Unlike older disability support systems, the NDIS is participant-directed — meaning you choose your own providers, set your own goals, and decide how your funding is used. Freedom Disability Support is a registered NDIS provider, which means we meet the quality and safety standards set by the NDIS Commission.

If you are new to the NDIS, or switching providers, our team is here to help you understand your plan and make the most of your funding. Call us on 0433 534 429 — we are happy to talk through your situation with no obligation.
